Guess who Is the efficiency person of the year?

Smart technology and business analyst firm Greenbang has named Echelon Chairman and CEO Ron Sege its 2011 Efficiency Person of the Year for his strong leadership in helping Echelon innovate and keep growing globally despite a challenging economic environment. The Greenbang awards highlight people, products, and processes that are creating resource-saving efficiencies. Congrats Ron!

We won the Climate Change Business Journal silver business achievement growth award

Echelon received the Climate Change Business Journal Silver Business Achievement Growth Award for its innovative work enabling smart buildings, smart grids and smart cities. Climate Change Business Journal (CCBJ), a business research publication which provides high value strategic business intelligence to the climate change industry, honored Echelon for its contributions to mitigating climate change in 2011. Building on recent honors, such as the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Export Achievement Award and the Smart Metering UK and Europe Summit’s 2012 European Smart Metering Innovation of the Year Award, Echelon was highlighted by CCBJ for its global impact on the smart grid industry.
