Echelon solutions were on display at two recent lighting shows, one in China and one in France.
For the fourth time, Echelon participated in the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE), the biggest lighting show in China. The 2013 event, held June 9 to 12, was the 18th annual GILE show.
Echelon employees. Eric Sun, sales manager for Echelon China, and Phoenix Zheng, regional manager for Echelon China and Kevin Kwan, FAE for Echelon Asia Pacific, attended the GILE show.
Echelon met with numerous partners and customers and showed a variety of ballasts made by manufacturers such as Tomwell, Rongwen, and Huati that had Echelon power line chips embedded in them. Echelon highlighted its demo kits, which help lighting manufacturers get to market quickly with Echelon-based solutions.
At the LumiVille 2013 show in Lyon, France, Echelon unveiled the industry’s first street lighting system incorporating both ISO 14908-compliant radio frequency (RF) and power line communications technologies on the same network connection. In its booth at LumiVille, which was held May 28 to 30, Echelon also demonstrated its follow-me-lighting feature, which minimizes the number of sensors required to individually control lights on a network.
